About Victoria
I began working as a massage therapist 18 years ago. Over time, my work has naturally developed towards neurological rehabilitation, shaped by the clients I support and my experience working alongside multidisciplinary teams.
Today, I work primarily with people living with neurological conditions, acquired injuries and complex physical needs, combining specialist massage with assisted stretching, mobility and gentle movement-based support.
Massage & Movement Therapy
Essential Motion reflects the way my practice has developed beyond massage alone. Sessions can combine hands-on massage, assisted stretching, mobility and gentle movement, depending on the individual and how they are presenting on the day.
Massage Therapy
Hands-on techniques to support comfort, relaxation and areas of muscular tension or stiffness.
Stretching & Mobility
Assisted stretching and mobility work adapted to the individual’s abilities and goals.
Movement
Gentle movement-based support to encourage mobility, body awareness and confidence in movement.
Specialist Experience
I have experience supporting people with Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, motor neurone disease, acquired and traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and complex rehabilitation needs.
I also have training and experience in oncology and palliative massage, where comfort, positioning and individual wellbeing are central to treatment.
Working Together
My work often forms part of a wider rehabilitation programme. Where appropriate and with consent, I work alongside case managers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and care teams.
This collaborative approach helps my input complement the individual’s wider rehabilitation goals.
